God’s Ark of Safety
God’s Ark of Safety Ministry in Frostburg, Md. can be seen on the side of I-68 (it’s hard to miss). In a 2006 profile, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Pastor Richard Greene began assembling this steel structure in 1976. Nobody appeared to be at the adjacent church and warehouse when I stopped by on Sunday, but I’d like to go back and photograph more. (Perhaps without walking through a three-foot snow drift and roaring icy winds.) More photos below.
